One person hurt when fire breaks out at Olympia repair shop

OLYMPIA, Wash. — Firefighters battled flames at an Olympia business early Friday.

Crews were called to Tom’s Outboard on East Bay Drive Northeast at 1:29 a.m.

Firefighters said the fire appeared to start in or near storage containers behind the business. It then spread to the main building.

The fire has since been put out.

Olympia Fire Assistant Chief Kevin Bossard said one person was taken to the hospital with with burns on their hands.
