One dead, one in custody, after officer involved shooting in Shoreline

SHORELINE, Wash. — A male suspect was killed, and another suspect is in custody, following an officer involved shooting involving SWAT officers around 4:30 a.m in Shoreline on Thursday.

King County Sheriff's Sgt. Ryan Abbot said officers who were serving a probable cause warrant at a home located at 19028 16th Ave NE were confronted by the male suspect with a gun. The SWAT officers shot and killed the suspect, and arrested two others.

"I heard two loud booms and lights and I assumed it was thunder. Then there was a rapid succession of what sounded like gunfire and I heard glass breaking and a woman screaming. When I came out to look there were police cars and paramilitary type trucks," a neighbor told KIRO 7's Michael Spears.

19028 16th Ave NE is located about a mile east of Holyrood Catholic Cemetery and just over two miles north of Hamlin Park.

Officials say no officers were hurt and one suspect remains outstanding.
