SEATTLE — A new study from WalletHub ranks Seattle as the best coffee city in America.
The study compared the 100 largest cities in the country across 14 "key indicators" of coffee lover-friendliness.
"Our data set ranges from coffee shops, coffee houses and cafés per capita to average price per pack of coffee," the study's authors wrote.
The top 10 cities were:
1. Seattle
2. New York City
3. San Francisco
4. Portland
5. Los Angeles
6. Chicago
7. Washington, D.C.
8. Miami
9. San Diego
10. Boston

The "key indicators" included: Average price per pack of coffee, average price of a cappuccino, average spending on coffee per household, share of adult coffee drinkers, share of households that own coffee makers, affordable coffee shops per capita, coffee shops per capita, coffee and tea manufacturers per capita, coffee shops with free WiFi per capita, Google search traffic for coffee, coffee lover meetups per capita, presence of coffee-centric events and average ranking of coffee shops on The Daily Meal's "50 Best Coffee Shops."
