A mudslide destroyed a home in Maple Valley.
No one was hurt, even though the slide shoved the 2,500-square-foot house off the foundation. First, the slide started rolling a 5,000 gallon fully-loaded propane tank. Then it pushed a detached garage into the home.
Geologists with the state of Washington are surveying the damage.
Maple Valley Firefighters told KIRO 7 News that the area is unstable. The fire chief said the snow and rain saturated the soil.
Eight homes are in the area; 12 people were evacuated.
