BELLEVUE, Wash. — Meydenbauer Bay Beach in Bellevue has been closed due to high bacteria levels in the water.
The King County Department of Natural Resources and Parks is recommending that people do not swim or wade in the water.
King County measures bacteria concentrations weekly, collecting three water samples from different parts of the beach and averaging the results.
Samples are tested twice a week until bacteria levels are low enough that it is safe to reopen, according to the county.
