Man shot in Queen Anne early Saturday

SEATTLE — A 68-year-old man was shot early Saturday near a motel in Queen Anne, SPD officials said.

A man found officers around 3:40 a.m. near Valley Street and 6th Avenue North and said he had been shot. He told police he is an employee at a motel in the 2400 block of Aurora Avenue North.

He went on to say he got into a short argument with a guest who then shot him in the shoulder.

The man was taken to Harborview Medical Center for treatment.

Police went back to the scene to collect evidence but did not find the suspect. Detectives are continuing to investigate.
