FEDERAL WAY, Wash. — A man displaying a weapon to officers was shot by Federal Way police on Monday afternoon, officials said.
Federal Way police tweeted about the incident around 3:40 p.m.
White male suspect attempted car-jacking x3. Pointed gun at officers who discharged their weapons. PD rendered aid until Medics arrived. Suspect transported to HMC, expected to survive. No officers or citizens were injured. S 320 St closed west of 23 Ave S for investigation.

Police said the suspect attempted a carjacking three times and pointed a gun at officers, who then fired their weapons. Officers gave aid to the suspect until medics arrived.
The suspect was taken to Harborview Medical Center.
No other citizens or officers were injured.
