King County working with partners to open cold weather shelters

With temperatures expected to drop into the 20s this week, King County is coordinating with local partners to open cold weather shelters around the area.

Families With Children

The King County Emergency Family Shelter intake line is 206-245-1026.

North King County

Shoreline: For single adults and couples, St. Dunstan’s Church will be open as a Shoreline Emergency Shelter. 722 N 145th St, Shoreline. 8:30 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.

South King County

Auburn: Sundown Shelter at 2806 Auburn Way N, Auburn will be open 9 p.m. – 7 a.m. starting Tuesday, Feb. 22. Contact Debbie Christian at 253-833-8925 for more information.

Auburn: Young adults, ages 18-24. Arcadia Young Adult Shelter at 932 Auburn Way South, Auburn will be open 9 p.m. – 8 a.m. and a daytime drop-in 2:30 p.m. – 6 p.m. on weekdays. 253-740-7198 for more information.

Burien: Highline United Methodist Church at 13015 1st Ave., Burien will be open 7 p.m. – 9 a.m. starting Feb. 21, with meal in the evening. Contact Jenny Patch at 206-241-5520 for more information.

Renton: The old Chamber of Commerce building at 300 Rainier Ave. N, Renton, will be open 8 pm. – 7 a.m. starting Tuesday, Feb. 22 through Thursday, Feb. 24.
