King County sergeant, resident injured in 2-alarm apartment fire in Burien

BURIEN, Wash. — A King County Sheriff’s Office sergeant and a person were injured in a two-alarm apartment fire Saturday in Burien, authorities said.

Officials said the sergeant discovered smoke after 1 p.m. coming from the 600 block of Southwest Ambaum Boulevard.

Both the sergeant and the resident were taken to Highline Hospital with minor injuries.

No other injuries have been reported yet.

It is not yet known what caused the fire, but it is under investigation.
