KING COUNTY, Wash. — A 24-year-old Kenmore man was arrested Friday in connection with the overdose death of a 23-year-old man in Seattle last year.
Police said the 24-year-old suspect was arrested for controlled substance homicide and booked into the King County Jail.
On Aug. 25, 2020, at 10 p.m., law enforcement was called to Harborview Medical Center after an injured man was dropped off at the hospital, officials said.
According to authorities, hospital employees said the victim was left by an unidentified man who fled when he was informed that police had been contacted. That man left his car at the hospital and it was impounded.
Although the victim was taken into surgery, he later died from his injuries, officials said. Detectives then treated the case as a homicide investigation.
The case is now being referred to prosecutors.
