TACOMA, Wash. — An investigation is underway after a young child was hit by gunfire Sunday night in Tacoma.
Police were called before 8 p.m. to the 8800 block of South Sheridan Avenue, where shots were fired into a home.
Police said a young child was hit and taken to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
It is not yet known what led to the gunfire or if a anyone was taken into custody.
The investigation remains ongoing.
