Teen injured in drive-by shooting in West Seattle, police say

SEATTLE — An investigation is underway after a teen was injured in a drive-by shooting Saturday night in West Seattle.

The shooting happened after 9 p.m. in the 2000 block of Southwest Charleston Street.

Witness reported to 911 that a person riding in their car had just been shot, authorities said.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found an 18-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his head, law enforcement said. He was taken to Harborview Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigators said they are interviewing witnesses and working to develop a suspect description.
