COVINGTON, Wash. — Puget Sound Fire officials have determined the cause of a fire Wednesday morning at a home on 187th Avenue SE in Covington.
Combustibles close to a stovetop are what started the fire, which was ruled as accidental, fire officials said.
Two adults and two kids were able to get out safely, but one of three cats at the home is still missing, fire officials said.
No injuries were reported.
Officials said a lot of damage was done to the attic. Crews knocked out most of the fire about 10:40 a.m.
