The crash occurred east of the Highway 202 interchange. Troopers and medics responded at about 5 a.m. to find a compact car tangled up in the highway guardrail, Trooper Rick Johnson said.
The driver was alone in the car and died on scene. No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
Authorities believe the driver lost control of the vehicle before crashing into the guardrail and flipping the car.
Lanes 1 and 2 now open WB I-90 at milepost 31. Lane 3 will remain closed for guardrail repair. Use caution through this area.
