Detectives search for wanted felon in Snohomish County

SNOHOMISH COUNTY, Wash. — Detectives with the North County Property Crimes Unit are asking for the public’s help in tracking down a wanted felon.

Officials said Timothy Curtis, 44, is suspected of using a fake ID and a fraudulent check to buy high-priced items.

Curtis is accused of using the fake ID to buy a HCS18 Pro Sod cutter, valued at $5,000, at Pilchuck Rentals in Marysville and is accused of purchasing over $2,000 worth of building materials from a second business in Marysville.

Detectives said Curtis may be driving a dark colored Ford F150, but said that he attempted to disguise it with camouflage decals.

Curtis has also recently attempted to sell the vehicle, detectives said.

Officials said Curtis has ties to the Everett and North Snohomish County areas and said he may be doing business as a landscaper.

He is described as 6 feet tall, weighing about 240 pounds, with light brown hair and blue eyes.

Anyone with information on Curtis’ location is asked to contact Detective Tolbert at jtolbert@marysvillewa.gov or by calling 360-363-8471.

The North County Property Crimes Unit was launched early in 2015 as collaboration between the Snohomish County Sheriff's Office and the police departments of Marysville, Lake Stevens and Stillaguamish Tribe. Click here to read more.
