SEATTLE — Seattle firefighters evacuated buildings while crews investigated a report of a natural gas leak in Ballard Wednesday morning.
Crews were called to the 2800 block of Northwest Market Street where firefighters conducted air monitoring tests to determine the extent of the leak.
Buildings and businesses were evacuated in a one-block radius.
Staff from Puget Sound Energy worked to secure the leak.
At 11 a.m., Seattle fire said firefighters will allow pedestrians back in the area once it is safe.
