SEATTLE — A familiar summertime roar was heard in Seattle on Tuesday morning when the U.S. Navy Blue Angels Jet #7 landed at the Clay Lacy Aviation Terminal at Boeing Field.
The visit is for an annual winter planning meeting in preparation for the 2018 Boeing Seafair Air Show in August.
The Blue Angels will meet with Seafair and air show officials to discuss operational needs.
The jet was scheduled to fly into Boeing Field around 10:30 a.m.
The Boeing Seafair Air Show will take place during Seafair Weekend, Aug. 3- 5 at Genesee Park on Lake Washington.
Since 1950, nothing has been more synonymous with summer in Seattle than Seafair. The Blue Angels show is considered the most impressive demonstration at the Boeing Seafair Air Show.
