Barber shop burglars in Bellevue caught on camera

Bellevue Police are working to identify two thieves who broke into the Bellevue Barber Shop on Main Street early Sunday morning.

The burglars were caught on surveillance video going through drawers, stealing cash and other items.

The Bellevue Barber Shop has been on Main Street for 70 years, it re-located a year ago into a new building at 10393 Main Street.

Kurt Hester got a call from the cleaning company on Monday. The front door was wide open and the shop was a mess.

Hester's grandfather started the shop 70 years ago. Hester has seen many changes in Bellevue over the years. The new location integrates the history of the shop. He has the original barber chairs and Bellevue High School annuals dating back to 1947.

Hester was surprised it was that easy for thieves to get into his new building. Now he's changed the locks and increased security.

He and business partner, Todd Russell, hope someone will recognize the men in the video.
