5-year-old Kraken fan finds bone marrow donor

SEATTLE — On Saturday, the Seattle Kraken announced that one of its biggest fans has found a bone marrow match.

5-year-old Isola Fiddick, Kraken star Morgan Geekie’s “number one fan,” was diagnosed with a rare form of lymphoma last year. In July, she was declared cancer free.

While she was in remission, she was invited to join the Kraken at its “Hockey Fights Cancer” night in November, where she was able to meet Geekie.

Unfortunately, Isola’s cancer returned earlier this year, and the Kraken jumped into action to find her a bone marrow donor.

Now, the team has shared the exciting news that she’s found a match.

To help celebrate, the team invited Isola and her family to Saturday night’s game against the Oilers at Climate Pledge Arena.

In a tweet, the team thanked its “Kraken crew” for coming together to help Isola find a donor.

GoFundMe has also been set up to help support her family.
