3 light rail stations to be reduced to a single track due to maintenance work

Northgate Link light rail station

SEATTLE — Starting Tuesday, Link light rail trains will be reduced to a single track at three north Seattle light rail stations as rail maintenance work begins.

Maintenance work will be happening at the Roosevelt, U District and University of Washington stations from 11 p.m. until the end of service on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings.

Track maintenance will affect both the north and southbound tracks, so passengers are advised to be aware of the direction of trains arriving at those stations.

Signage will be posted at the three stations to alert passengers as to which platform is affected.

The project is expected to take approximately three months to complete.
