2 dead in Tacoma shooting, police say

TACOMA, Wash. — Tacoma police are investigating a shooting that resulted in the death of two men early Saturday.

At about 1:45 a.m., police were called to reports of a dispute with shots fired in a parking lot in the 5500 block of South Washington Street, authorities said.

When officers arrived, they found a man who had been fatally shot.

Less than an hour later, officers were called to the 700 block of South Huson Street after receiving reports that there were two more victims from the first scene in a car.

The driver was found with non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital, authorities said. The passenger was also found with a gunshot wound but was pronounced dead at the scene.

It is not clear what led to the shooting and the identities of the victims have not been released.

Police did not say if a suspect was taken into custody.
