1 killed in crash Thursday near southbound SR 599 on-ramp to I-5

A crash Thursday afternoon blocked the southbound SR 599 on-ramp to southbound I-5, traffic officials said around 1:30 p.m.

Washington State Patrol officials said the crash involved one vehicle that rolled over.

An occupant was killed. Officials said they don't believe there were other occupants in the vehicle.

A couple of lanes on the ramp to southbound I-5 will remain blocked for an investigation, police said at 1:50 p.m.

Information is still coming in.

Update, the collision is now confirmed to be a fatality. We believe there were no other occupants in the vehicle. The ramp from SR 599 to SB I5 will have a couple of lanes blocked for the investigation. I will give more updates as they come.
