1 killed in Lakewood double shooting

LAKEWOOD, Wash. — One person died and another was injured after a fight led to a shooting on Thursday evening in Lakewood.

The shooting happened at a tattoo parlor located in the 10200 block of Bridgeport Way Southwest and Filbert Lane Southwest.

One victim was taken to the hospital, where they died, authorities said.

However, police said Friday the first shooting that killed a person was likely done in self-defense during a fight.

Authorities believe the sister of the person who was killed then shot an employee who was not involved.

Officers arrested the woman who fired the second shot.

The employee is recovering at the hospital.

After the shooting, a woman who lived nearby described to KIRO 7 what she witnessed, saying, “I just saw the guy laying on the sidewalk. I saw people, like just, running everywhere, driving out of the parking lot over here. It’s, it’s crazy.”

Officers said the people involved in the shooting might know each other.

The investigation remains ongoing.
