SNOHOMISH COUNTY, Wash. — One person has died and others were injured in a collision on State Route 532 at milepost 8 near Stanwood on Thursday afternoon, said Washington State Patrol Trooper Rocky Oliphant.
Oliphant said four vehicles were involved in the crash.
The victim was identified as Katrina Kakalecik, 27, of Granite Falls, by the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Two others suffered serious injuries, authorities said.
Investigators said a driver involved in the crash was taken into custody, but they did not say for what.
The highway was completely shut down but has since reopened.
The investigation remains ongoing.
