KING COUNTY, Wash. — An 18-year old man is in custody in connection to a fatal shooting in Skyway early Wednesday, police said.
The King County Sheriff’s Office said a 19-year old man was shot in the chest at the Creston Point Apartments in the 13400 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Way around 12:30 a.m.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
When deputies arrived, they entered the apartment and found the victim and at least four other adults inside. Deputies said there were also four children, ages 2 to 7, sleeping there.
The Sheriff's Office said a neighbor saw two men fleeing from the building after hearing a gunshot.
Officers said they do not know if there is a relationship between the victim and the gunmen.
King County Sheriff's office tell KIRO 7 the 18 year old suspect turned himself in to detectives early Wednesday evening.
He is being questioned by police, and could make an initial court appearance Thursday, police say.
