Chick-fil-A is scheduled to open its first Western Washington location on April 9 in Bellevue.

The location at 785 116th Avenue N.E. is expected to bring about 80 jobs, according to the company.

The company is giving away free Chick-fil-A food for a year to the first 100 people through the doors on April 9.

The Bellevue location is the first of three restaurants the company plans to open in Washington. A Tacoma location is expected to open April 16 and a Lynnwood location is expected in early May.

Staff said the giveaway is open to people living in specific zip codes roughly within a 60-mile radius of the restaurant. The Bellevue location is also hosting a book drive to benefit the Boys & Girls Club of Bellevue on Tuesday, April 7 through Saturday, April 11.

The company's CEO has teaken a public anti same-sex marriage stance, and some KIRO 7 viewers have said on Facebook they will be avoid the restaurant.

KIRO 7 asked Seattle voters if they'll eat Chick-fil-A, and here's how they responded after it was announced the restaurant would open.
