Burglar caught quickly at Everett home

EVERETT, Wash. — A burglar was caught within two minutes of a citizen's report, thanks to good police work and an alert citizen.

Officials with the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Dept. say they responded to a burglary at an Everett home on Saturday.

An alert citizen reported the burglary at the same time as an alarm activated a response to the residence.

Deputies arrived quickly and had the suspect in custody within two minutes of the call being dispatched, according to officials.

K-9 handler Deputy McCullar and his partner, Luuk, arrived and determined there was only one suspect, who was taken into custody.
