BOTHELL, Wash. — A welfare check led to streets being closed for the majority of the afternoon in Bothell.
One person was found dead inside a home.
Bothell-Everett Highway reopened after hours-long police activity between Northeast 190 Street and 240 Street Southeast.
It closed in both directions when police conducted a welfare check on a 33-year-old man.
When police arrived at the house, they heard at least one gunshot coming from inside. They immediately backed off from the house.
Police used speakers to talk to the man in the house.
The identity of who died has not been released.
