911 calls illustrate scene after mother's alleged attack on children

OLYMPIA, Wash. — KIRO 7 obtained the 911 calls made to police dispatchers after three young children were cut on their necks at their Olympia home.

The children are recovering at a Tacoma hospital.

On the calls is their mother, who is now under arrest in the attack, and her husband.

The 911 calls, which were made early Sunday morning, last for about nine minutes.  You hear who police say is 28-year-old Christina Booth call to say her children won't stop crying and that they're bleeding from the neck.

Dispatcher: “Hi, this is 911.”

Caller: “Yes.”

Dispatcher: “What's going on there?”

Caller: “Please help me.”

Police later said Booth tried to kill her 6-month-old twins and her 2-year-old daughter with a knife. They were found with knife wounds to their necks.

Caller: “They're not calming down.”

Dispatcher: “What do you mean not calming down?”

Caller: “They're not calming down.”

Booth became frantic and then her husband, a JBLM soldier, got on the phone.

Caller: “They're bleeding right now. We need an ambulance immediately.”

Dispatcher: “Where are they bleeding from?”

Caller: “The neck.”

For several frantic minutes, dispatchers try to get details.

The children's father later calls dispatcher back.

Dispatcher: “Are your babies conscious?”

Caller: “Yes they are conscious. They are fine, they're crying.”

Police did not implicate the father, as he was in a different part of the house at the time.

Booth, the children's mother, was arrested. She may be appearing in court Monday afternoon.

Police are investigating the motive for the attack.
