ARLINGTON, Wash. — A 3.7 magnitude earthquake awoke people in Snohomish and Skagit Counties overnight.
The quake hit 8 miles north of Arlington at 1:42 a.m. Thursday.
It was at a depth of 6 miles.
People on social media said they felt a hard shaking that woke them up. Most were in the Arlington Heights neighborhood.
“My apartment just shook hard and it was a boom kind of sound that went with it. I thought there was a car that had run into my apartment because where my bedroom is, is right out by my parking lot,” said Barbara Honey.
“I could hear the rumbling that you hear with an earthquake and I noticed everything I have, like a chandelier and some furniture and whatnot, kind of rumble and jolt. It freaked out my cat. She jumped off my bed and ran,” said Christina Greenberg.
There are no reports of damage or injuries.
