Police arrested two people wanted in connection with a hate crime earlier this month in Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood.

Police said on Sept. 2, officers were called to investigate after two men were assaulted in separate incidents near the Light Rail station.

In both cases, the suspects reportedly used anti-gay slurs as they attacked the victims.

After a search of the area, police did not locate the suspects. Police did obtain images of the suspects and asked officers for help in identifying them.

On Tuesday, a patrol officer recognized the suspects, and detectives arrested two 22-year-old men at a Pioneer Square apartment building.
