Overturned crane causes closure, backups on I-5

A mobile crane rolled over on northbound I-5 at Southcenter Boulevard shortly after 6 a.m. Wednesday. %

All lanes of northbound I-5 closed at about 9:45 a.m. while the crane was righted and crews worked to remove it from the freeway. Video from Chopper 7 showed large pools of hydraulic fluid on the roadside.

As off 1:13 p.m., only one lane was still closed but long backups remained.
