RENTON, Wash. — The Seahawks and Rams meet again.

But this time it's for the top spot in the NFC West on Sunday.

The Seahawks (8-5) found a way to take down the Los Angeles Rams (9-4) the last time they met on Sunday, Oct. 8.

A win over the Rams on Sunday would give the teams the same record. But the head-to-head tie breaker will move Seattle into first-place in the NFC West.

"I think everybody knows this is for the division, playoff implications, I mean this game is big,” Bradley McDougald, a Seahawks strong safety, said. “So I don't think desperate is the word, I think guys are more eager. A lot of our season falls into this one game."

"They play a very physical style of football, brand of football, which we are obviously very familiar with but that is one of the responses that a physical team needs in order to have trouble with or trouble against,” said Seahawks wide receiver Doug Baldwin. “So when you put two physical-minded teams together, you typically get a good football game."

When the Seahawks played the Rams in Los Angeles earlier this season, Russell Wilson actually exchanged jersey’s with defensive tackle Aaron Donald. And before practice on Thursday, Wilson talked about the respect he has for how Donald plays the game.

"When I think about Aaron Donald, he's probably, in my opinion, the best defensive player I've ever played against in terms of actually played in a game against,” said Wilson. “That's a pretty big statement. He's [Donald] definitely one of those guys that will probably be a Hall of Famer no doubt."
