Ahead of the Seattle Kraken facing the Dallas Stars for Game 5 of Round 2 of the Stanley Cup playoffs, Kraken forward Ryan Donato took a moment to speak with KIRO 7′s Chris Francis.
Donato spoke about leaning on the insights of the members of his team that have won the Stanley Cup before, like goalie Phillip Grubauer and forward Yanni Gourde.
Donato said they’re looking to bounce back after Tuesday’s disappointing loss in Game 4.
“It’s a tied series. 2-2,” he said. “We’re starting from scratch.”
Francis asked if Donato is feeling the grind of the playoffs yet.
“We’re taking it one day at a time,” Donato said. “We lean on our veteran leadership who have been there and understand the grind.”
Game 5 is Thursday night in Dallas at 6:30 p.m. An official watch party will be held at the Climate Pledge Arena, but tickets for that event are no longer available.
