‘Juliooooooooooo!’ State ferries get Mariners-inspired names during postseason run

OLYMPIA, Wash. — As the Mariners continue their postseason run, Gov. Jay Inslee has directed that the names of all Washington State Ferries be temporarily changed to honor the team.

The name changes for all 21 ferries in the fleet went into effect on Thursday and will remain in place for as long as the Mariners remain in the 2022 postseason.
