WAVERLY, Tenn. — Sometimes, seeing is believing.
The magnitude of the deadly Aug. 21 flash floods that devastated portions of Middle Tennessee is difficult to grasp, but one Waverly resident provided cell phone video footage that clearly showed how quickly the historic flood overtook his neighborhood.
The Humphreys County floods killed 20 people, destroyed 270 houses and damaged another 160 homes.
