If you purchased cans of Skyline Chili to celebrate the Cincinnati Bengals Super Bowl appearance, you may want to check out the cans you didn’t use.
Morgan Foods has recalled about 2,205 pounds of Skyline Chili because they are mislabeled, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service said.
Instead of containing chili, the cans are filled with cream of chicken soup.
They were made on Dec. 21 and have lot code L2121, establishment number EST. 6806 in the USDA mark of inspection and the product code CHC8T UPY on the bottom.
They have a “Best By” date of Dec. 21, 2023.
If you have the recalled products, you are being advised to throw them away or return them to the place of purchase, the FSIS said.
Skyline Chili is frequently served atop a pile of spaghetti and covered in cheese for a traditional Cincinnati dish.
