Mariah Carey teases back at bar claiming to ban ‘All I Want For Christmas’

According to a social media post, a bar in Texas has taken a stand against the Christmas song “All I Want for Christmas Is You,” angering fans of the song and drawing a response from singer Mariah Carey.

Columnist and critic Kyle Smith tweeted a photo that purportedly shows a warning taped to a jukebox in Dallas saying that if you try to play the song before Dec. 1, the jukebox will skip your selection.

The note goes on to say that after Dec. 1, the song that speaks of the singer’s desire to be reunited with her significant other, will be tolerated only once an evening.

The post has seen more than 51,000 “likes.”

Carey retweeted a post that referenced Smith’s tweet that said, “Is this the war on Christmas I’ve heard about?” Carey added a photo of herself dressed in armor on a battlefield.
