CLEVELAND COUNTY, N.C. — A train derailed Tuesday morning, spilling hundreds of pounds of corn along a road in North Carolina, emergency management officials said.
Emergency crews were called Tuesday morning to Airport Road near Case Farms in Shelby after a train hauling corn derailed.

It was not immediately clear what caused the derailment.
Authorities closed the road in both directions as they cleared the grain.
No injuries were reported.
