Store clerk stabbed to death in Seattle's International District

SEATTLE — Surveillance video provides a quick shot of a suspect wanted in connection with the deadly stabbing of a  store clerk an International District market early Sunday evening.

A witness called 911 to report a stabbing in at the Union Market in the 500 block of South Jackson Street shortly after 5 p.m.

Video taken from inside the store shows a man walk in front of the counter briefly, before stepping out of the picture.

Officers arrived and found a white man in his 50s unresponsive. Officers began giving the victim medical aid until Seattle fire medics arrived and transported him to Harborview Medical Center, where he later died from his injuries, Seattle police said.

Police are investigating reports of a disturbance that occurred inside the store between the attacker and the clerk.  Investigators said there had been another incident at the same market the previous day.

Seattle police have not said whether anyone has been arrested.
