MARYSVILLE, Wash. — A Washington State Patrol trooper was injured Tuesday evening after his patrol vehicle was hit by a driver on Interstate 5 near Marysville.
According to WSP, a trooper was pulled over to keep a lane clear for fire trucks.
The trooper’s patrol vehicle was rear-ended by a driver.
Authorities said the trooper was taken to a nearby hospital with minor injuries.
Responding troopers then pulled the driver of the car that hit the trooper.
The driver was arrested for investigation of driving under the influence.
