Motorcyclist killed in Edgewood crash

EDGEWOOD, Wash. — A motorcyclist died in a crash with an SUV in Edgewood Thursday morning.

It happened on Meridian Avenue near Jovita at 5:15 a.m.

Lanes are blocked on Meridian at Jovita in both directions. Northbound traffic is being diverted around the Jovita roundabout.

As of 6:20 a.m., Edgewood police said backups were starting to form.

KIRO 7 Traffic Reporter Tracy Taylor says an alternate route is 24th Street East.
