SEATTLE — Before 9:30 a.m. Julie A. Erickson pulled into a driveway in the 700 block of Davis Lake Road and started stealing toys from the yard. She then placed the toys in her vehicle.
A woman and her friend asked Ericson what she was doing and took out a tricycle out of Erickson’s car.
Police said Erickson pushed one of the women and punched the other in the face and tried to slap her several times before the victim got away. The woman who was punched declined aid.
Erickson got in her vehicle and drove away. Authorities spotted Erickson’s vehicle and tried to stop her.
Police said Erickson refused to stop and eluded the deputy for several miles. Erickson was taken into custody after authorities placed spike strips and she drove into a ditch.
Erickson was booked into the Lewis County jail on charges of second-degree robbery and attempting to elude.
The toys in the vehicle will be returned to the victim.
