PUYALLUP, Wash. — A delivery woman gets the surprise of a lifetime as part of a gift put together by a Puyallup church: a $1,900 tip.
Single mom Nicole Carroll brought a pizza into Cornerstone Community Church on Saturday night.
"They said that the pastor ordered a pizza, and I was a little early so I thought I was there waiting for him to finish his service to be honest with you," she said.
Members decided to find someone who could use extra help financially and collect cash donations.
"I prayed specifically, said, 'God I want somebody who's either a single mom or a student that's working full time," and she's both," pastor Troy Asher said.
When Carroll brought the pizza to the altar during Saturday night services, Asher handed her $1,900 in cash.

Carroll is a mother of three kids and going to school full time.
"They're doing this out of the kindness of their heart and I think people forget that there are people out there that still do that," she said.
Asher says he got the idea from another church that had done the same thing.
“Oh it was beautiful,” said Asher. “She was shaking. She was so thankful.”
