Power outage in Tacoma neighborhood after truck strikes power pole

TACOMA, Wash. — A Tacoma neighborhood was without power Saturday afternoon after a pickup truck hit a power pole, fire officials said.

The collision happened on North 37^th and Pearl Street.

Crews extricated one person out of the vehicle and the person was taken to the hospital as a precaution.

Fire officials told KIRO 7 the person not in critical condition.

Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
