Community liaison deputies discovered a mortar round near 112th Street East and Seventh Avenue East in Parkland.
The Pierce County Sheriff’s Office tweeted the mortar is a 120 mm inert training round and was found at an abandoned transient camp.
The bomb squad X-rayed the mortar to be sure it was not a live round.
