Police seek help in Marysville child abduction

MARYSVILLE, Wash. — Marysville police are looking for a 3-year-old child taken by his father on July 10 and not returned to his custodial parent.

Carlo Ponte, 3, has a developmental disability and is non-verbal.

The father, Jorge Alberto Ponte, is familiar with most of Western Washington and also has lived in Wenatchee.

Police say Jorge Ponte is known to frequent YMCAs, community centers, homeless shelters and soccer facilities, and could be using an alias for the child of Leonel Solorano-Valdovinos.

The last known vehicles associated with this abduction are a blue 2005 Dodge Caravan with a Washington license plate of #BBC4721 and a white 2011 Volkswagen Jetta with a Washington license plate of #ACS6089.

There is an arrest warrant for Jorge Ponte for custodial interference in the first degree.
