SEATTLE — Miss Washington USA 2016 Stormy Keffeler was crowned in October six months after she was arrested on supicion of DUI.

According to the rules of the pageant, contestants promise they have not or will not engage in illegal activity, "any felony conviction, probation or misdemeanor involving moral turpitude."

The Miss Washington USA Pageant just found out about the arrest in the last few days through an anonymous tip.

"There was nothing disclosed on her paperwork," said Maureen Francisco,  Miss Washington USA Pageant co-director.

"You have to disclose everything -- if you have any nudity, if you've ever had a felony, you disclose every piece of information."

The state pageant contacted the Miss Universe Organization and it will be up to lawyers with to make the decision. Francisco hopes to find out the resolution soon.  She says Keffeler was remorseful.

Keffeler served two days in the Kirkland Jail in December, when she was Miss Washington USA, to meet the requirements of her DUI guilty plea.

Keffeler did not respond to KIRO-7's request for comment.
