PORT ANGELES, Wash. — A confessed killer told two grieving families his victims deserved to die during his sentencing hearing Tuesday morning.
Patrick Drum was sentenced to life in prison for shooting two men to death in June.
The Port Angeles man said he targeted Gary Blanton Jr. and Jerry Ray because they were registered sex offenders.
In court, Blanton's widow, Leslie Blanton, told Drum his supporters are torturing her family.
“Tell your supporters to stop. My children and I don’t deserve this. What you have done will be answered by this court and by God,” said Leslie Blanton.
Drum told the victims' families he's sorry for what they are going through but said his actions were justified.
