An injured hiker on Mount Stuart was rescued Sunday by a search and rescue team with Naval Air Station Whidbey Island.
Officials said they received a call about a woman who had suffered a compound leg fracture about 8,000 feet up around 6:15 p.m.
The search and rescue team arrived at the scene around 7:40 p.m. and successfully got the injured woman into a helicopter by 9:40 p.m., according to a news release.
The woman was later transported to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. In their news release, officials did not provide an update on the woman's condition.
The rescue was the 24th mission performed by Naval Air Station Whidbey Island in Washington this year, officials said.
